Why All Great Ideas Come In Toilet
It is 7:45 a.m. and you switched-on your awareness from a dead sleepy homosapien, and walked into the ‘auspicious workshop’ to refresh yourself and somehow something sparked the ‘discovery idea’ into your neurons ………….
So How …………………. Why in the toilet ?
You might have heard of Wood Allen , if not , you have definitely seen his excellent productions as he is an amazing writer, actor and director. He says that a shower gives him inspiration and sometimes he even stands in the water for an hour to get the creative juices flowing, leaving the real world behind.
During an online psychology summit on peaking work performance , Scott Barry Kaufman, a cognitive scientist informed about a study where 72% of the people get their creativity boost of ideas in the shower.
Kaufman said in this discussion that “The relaxing, solitary, and non-judgmental shower environment may afford creative thinking by allowing the mind to wander freely, and causing people to be more open to their inner stream of consciousness and daydreams”.
With more research through multinational study on showering, Kaufman found that “people reported more creative inspiration in their showers than they did at work. That’s really telling about how we think and find creativity.”
We should always find ways to isolate ourselves as much as possible from physical and mental distractions by practicing visualization and mindfulness to penetrate our innerself by getting in a relationship with our body , thoughts and feelings as creativity lies in between our inner and outer world.
